Posh Nails for…DOGS???

It was just a week ago when the family was immersed in grief by the loss of our new puppy named Heart. This scene is not totally new to us, so I guess my husband already knew what he had to do in order for me and the kids to recover from this loss…at the soonest time possible!

I was cooking up a storm in the kitchen yesterday, when my husband and kids came home…surprising me with the darkest and cutest pug in the world - Shadow.

Still upbeat from the excitement of having a new puppy, I was stroking Shadow’s hair and admiring her pitch black beauty, when my creative juices began to get stirred up. I started to think of ways on how to make Shadow look different, to match with Happy’s cool new red Mohawk look (Happy is our white male Shih tzu).

Alas! I have found the perfect style to go with Shadow’s black hair…a Dog Nail Cap! I found these Nail Caps from Happy’s groomer – Cassandra Care, while looking for some collar and hairbrush for Shadow.

I got intrigued by the colorful bottles displayed on a shelf and began asking what these bottles are for. Turned out that they are Nail Caps for both Dogs and Cats.  Apart from aesthetic purposes, the Nail Caps’ ultimate purpose is to protect our pets from scratching themselves, and their owners by accident.  I learned that the Pugs eyes is sensitive and should be taken good care of…this gave me all the excuse to try the nail caps on Shadow.

The nail caps costs 300 Php and you can ask the groomer from Cassandra Care to put on the caps for your pet - free of charge! (a tip would be nice though)

After seeing how the red nail caps accentuated Shadow’s black coat…I couldn’t be any happier!
